Mission Statement

Survivor Siblings is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides information on preventing sex trafficking through education from survivors, outreach directly to survivors, and offer opportunities for survivors to thrive through support programs.

About

Survivor Siblings is a grassroots organization dedicated to the rights, resources and protections of sex trafficking survivors. We believe the best way to end trafficking is to prevent it before the abuse happens.

Founded in November 2017 by a group of trafficking survivors, our first mission was to deliver 100 survivor support bags to trafficking survivors and those at greater risk of trafficking. Inside each bag was self-care items, harm reduction items and cash. They were distributed the week before Thanksgiving 2017.

What started as a one time project has morphed into a national organization that concentrates on education about trafficking.

Let’s work together to end trafficking before it starts.

What we do –

  • Workshops – virtual and in person workshops hosted by trafficking survivors.

  • Outreach – when we can meet the basics needs of people, they are less likely to be exploited and/or trafficked.

  • Yearly trafficking survivor retreat – we’ve been through enough, healing is a seldom ending, ongoing process. We deserve a night or two to forget about it and pamper ourselves.

  • Peer-to-Peer Support Group for Survivors

  • Survivor to Leader Mentorship

  • Support full decriminalization of sex work and related offenses. We believe the lived experiences of full service sex workers should be centered in this harm reduction based change that is needed to protect workers as well as trafficking survivors.
